Attracting people of all ages, the fair had many things to offer. New attractions, which included paintings by students of the Applied Arts department, paintings on tawas by students of the Art History department and masks and caps by students of both the departments make it different from the previous fair held three years ago.

Spreading Christmas cheer were caps of all sizes and shapes, priced at an affordable rate between Rs 20 and Rs 40. The caps were not just coloured papers put together but had strokes of paint on them, besides used reels of cassettes adding colour. Noise-makers, designed with coloured paper, were also there to go with the caps.

The fair also had one dhoti kurta-clad student pulling a decorated hand-driven tonga giving rides to children, besides students moving around wearing huge masks of animals.

However, the haunted house or the `Kum In' drew most crowds.

An unused building of the faculty, which needs repairs, has been made into a haunted house. While only three people were allowed to enter at a time, students were dressed in clothes as in a horror show to create the ambience.

Students with masks of elephants and lions also moved around the fair entertaining children.

Significantly, some students did their bit towards preserving the environment and lessening the ill-effects of plastics by using paper bags or just paper instead of plastic bags. Naturally, fun without food is incomplete. Besides various vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, two students of the faculty dressed up as a punjabi couple sold punjabi dishes in a specially set up dhaba. Stalls of all-time favourite popcorn and candy floss also attracted crowds.
