SANDHWANA (Faridkot), Dec 27: Giani Zail Singh Charitable Memorial Trust has decided to raise suitbale memorial in the memory of former President Gyani Zail Singh at his native village here.Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh as first instalment of the contribution of the state government for raising a suitable memorial.
The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to to Giani Zail Singh on the occasion of his fourth death anniversary at his native village here.
Floral tributes were paid to Giani Zail Singh also by the leaders of various political parties, including former Punjab Chief Minster Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Punjab State Freedom Fighters Organisation president Mansa Ram and united CPI-Punjab president Sukhinder Singh.
