Amartya Sen to set up charity trust with Nobel prize money
In keeping with the tradition set by Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel laureate Amartya Sen announced he would set up a charity trust with his prize money for work in education and health care in India and Bangladesh.

Treasures of art go unnoticed
They are Germany's tribute to Indian heritage, but Mumbaiites have shown regard for neither the tribute nor the heritage. The objects of art brought from the Museum of Indian Art, Berlin, and posted at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) from December 3 as part of the exhibition `Treasures of Indian Art' have received a cold response from citizens of the metropolis.

Moses, man or myth?
Moses is about to become box-office news. That, at least, is the fervent hope of DreamWorks Pictures, who release The Prince of Egypt, an animated version of the Exodus story.
