UTI raises Rs 9,000 cr in H1
The Unit Trust of India (UTI) has mobilised around Rs 9,000 crore in the first six months (H1) of the current fiscal (which ends on June 30, 1999). Despite the recent troubles at the mutual fund, it is confident of mopping up Rs 18,000 crore by June 1999.

RBI sells Rs 18,000 crore securities
The Reserve Bank of India has sold an estimated Rs 18,000 crore through the open market operations (OMOs) in the current financial year, ICICI Securities said in its latest debt market commentary.

Depository accounts top 1.50 lakh
With mandatory dematerialised trading in 12 scrips around the corner, investors have started rushing to the depository. The number of accounts opened with the depository has topped 1,50,000 with the last 50,000 accounts having been opened in the past month-and-a-half.
