NEW DELHI, JAN 3: Defending champions Mohun Bagan and former champions Jagjit Cotton Textiles (JCT) Mills (Phagwara) open the year's football season with a clash in the third National Football League, to be known as the Coca-Cola League-1999, on January 5 at Ambedkar Stadium.

The new-look JCT team comprises several newcomers from Tata Football Academy and some young collegiates from Punjab.

On the other hand, Mohun Bagan have roped in top players like Indian captain IM Vijayan, Joe Paul Ancheri, Nazimul Haque, Khentang Paite, apart from having their old faithful Nigerian star Chima Okerie.

The supervising officials of the match will be Delhi's newly-chosen FIFA referee Krishan Avtar who will be assisted by linesmen Rizwan-ul-Haq, Ramesh Rehani and the fourth official C. Ranga Raju. DSA vice-president Bahadur Singh Chauhan will be the Match Commissioner.

Doordarshan will telecast the match live.
