CHANDIGARH, Jan 3: The city police has registered a case against a Punjab Police constable for alleged cheating and forgery.
According to sources, Superintendent of Police (Telecommunications) Umesh Chander lodged a complaint that Constable Varinder Kumar joined the Punjab Police on the basis of fake documents in September 1992. The case has been registered under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code. No arrest has been made so far.
