Mid-term polls likely by March: Nanaiah
Karnataka's Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, M C Nanaiah, on Tuesday said that he anticipated the growing instability of the ruling coalition at the Centre to lead to mid-term polls around mid-March or April this year.

BJD, BJP Orissa ties on
The electoral alliance between the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and BJP in Orissa would continue till the next assembly elections, about a year away. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the district presidents and chiefs of frontal wings of the BJD presided over by party president Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.

Tohra skipped CM's meet due to offensive
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Gurcharan Singh Tohra on Tuesday broke his silence, saying he preferred to abstain from the meeting convened by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday in view of the offensive launched against him.
