The All India Defence Accounts Association will organise a four-day athletic meet for students and Central Government employees from January 28 to 31 at Andheri Sports Complex. Around 5000 students from the state are expected to participate. Central Government employees will participate in the Open category and 140 athletes are expected to take part. The entry forms are available at MSSA, Bombay University pavilion, YMCA's, Khalsa College and Dadaji Kondeo Stadium (Thane), Dombivli Coaching Centre, Sports Authority of India and Andheri Sports Complex.

State squash team felicitated

Otter's Club, Bandra held a ceremony, late last evening, to felicitate the Maharashtra squash team which returned victorious from the Inter-State Squash Championship held at the Calcutta Racket Club last week.

The team, comprising of Neeraj Shirgaokar (captain), Akhil Behl, Manish Chotrani, Parth Doshi, Saket Wali, Avish Jaiswal and coach Ananth Nayak,incidentally belong to Otters.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Khemlani, president of the club, said: ``It is a moment of pride, not only to us but also for the State and the country.''
