10 more held for Gujarat attacks

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
SURAT, JAN 24: Ten more persons were arrested today in connection with the attacks on two Christian prayer halls in the tribal-dominated Doswada village in Songadh taluka of Surat district on Friday, rural police said this evening. With this, the total number of accused has gone up to 22.

About 25 miscreants had destroyed furniture, musical instruments and walls of the prayer halls, managed by the Indian National Gospel Churches Federation and Good News Ministries Churches of Northern India for a decade.

The situation was, however, well under control at the disturbed village, police added.
