Nigam wins second title

AmitNigam won his second title of the season when he bagged the Republic Day Golf Tournament over 36 holes at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club , Chembur.

Nigam had shot a one under 69 on Saturday, had a poor round of 10-over 80 on Sunday, but the first day's cushion of four strokes was adequate to net him the title.

Runner-up Rohit Goyal, who carded a 79 on Sunday, finished four strokes behind on 153.

Nohar Nath won the nett prize edging out Ajay Patel on the basis of better display over the last 18 holes when he shot a gross 76, which was also the best round of the day. Companeroes win

Companeros defeated Fr Agnel B 2-1 in the senior Don Bosco Challenge Cup organized by Don Bosco Youth Centre and played at the Technical Ground, Kurla.

Vikram D'Souza drew the first blood for the winners in 16 minute through apenalty. Agnel equalised through Rawlino D'Souza, but Cosmos Vaz sealed the fate for Companeros.
