Defying popular perception, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Monday pushed Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee into a political hole when she orchestrated a CWC decision to oppose the Centre's motion ratifying President's Rule in Bihar after a three-hour meeting in the evening.

SC tells Quattrocchi to appear in court on Mar 15
In a new twist to the 13-year old Bofors gun deal controversy, the Supreme Court on Monday directed Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, alleged to have got over $7 million as kickback from the deal, to appear in the trial court on March 15.
