Govt may delay tabling of Bihar resolution
With the Congress deciding to oppose imposition of President's rule in Bihar, the 11-month-old Vajpayee Government is set to face its first acid test in Rajya Sabha where it is in a hopeless minority. The Congress decision has created problems for the Government in the Lok Sabha where it enjoys a slender majority.

Jaya cases -- SC admits TN plea against Centre's notification
The Supreme Court on Monday admitted a petition of the Tamil Nadu government challenging the validity of the recent notification by the Centre transferring all corruption cases against AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha from special judges to sessions courts.

Third Force hails Congress move
Leaders of the constituents of the "third force'' are happy with the Congress decision to oppose imposition of President's rule in Bihar but are not prepared to hazard any guesses about what it means for their relationship with that party.
