Rabri reinstated, Laloo has tea with Bhandari

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

Patna, March 9: Rabri Devi was today back in saddle as Chief Minister of Bihar 25 days after dismissal of her Government, which was preceded by a high-voltage political drama which saw the Centre take the unprecedented step of revoking President's rule from the state last night.

The first woman Chief Minister of Bihar, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Sunder Singh Bhandari at an impressive function at Raj Bhavan, boycotted by the BJP-Samata combine.

Governor Bhandari whose report on law and order following two major incidents of killings of Dalits formed the basis of her government's dismissal, said he had invited the leader of the largest party in the assembly and asked her to prove her majority on the floor of the house within ten days.

Rabri Devi took the oath after being re-elected leader of RJD legislature party earlier in the day.
