NEW DELHI, MARCH 16: Numerologist Shakuntala Devi finally made a mistake. She miscalculated the number of bags she had with her in a taxi last night. The `human computer' then had to contact the PCR staff to get the bag back.
Shakuntala arrived in the Capital last night from Mumbai. She hired a taxi (no. DLT-5307) from IGI Airport to her 604 Adeshwar Apartment home on Ferozeshah Road. The luggage was unloaded, but one bag was left behind. The driver sped away, presuming that the lady had all her bags. She soon realised her mistake and immediately contacted the PCR. The pre-paid taxi was subsequently traced to the Parliament Street area and the bag was retrieved. According to the police, the driver later realised that there was an extra bag in his vehicle, and was coming back to Shakuntala's residence to return it when he was intercepted by the police.
She said today, ``I was feeling sleepy and by mistake I got down without the bag. By the time I realised the taxi driver had left.'' The bag contained some personal belongings and a mathematics manuscript.
