Barua to skip National `A'

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
NAGPUR, MARCH 20: Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua, who won the Datamatics Asian Zonal Chess Championships recently, will skip the 36th BPCL National `A' Chess Championship which begins here at VBA Hall, Shankarnagar tomorrow.By virtue of his Asian zonal title, Barua has qualified for the World Zonals and there is no need for him to play the National `A' to get into the Indian team. Barua, who is the highest rated Indian after GM V Anand at 2538, is now preparing for the Commonwealth and other international championships.The first round will be played on March 22.
