Venture capital fund for software
Having set an ambitious $10 billion software export target by the end of the Ninth Five Year Plan period, the government is launching a venture capital fund to give the much-needed financial prop to the software industry.
Industrial growth falls to 3.5% in 9 months
The growth rate in industrial production has declined to 3.5% during the first nine months of the current fiscal as against 6.7% recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Stanchart launches global card
Standard Chartered Bank (Stanchart) on Monday announced the launch of its global credit card on both Visa and MasterCard networks. Stanchart will reconvert all its existing cards to measure up to the latest offering, which is to be made available at a standard fee of Rs 700, on par with its domestic issuances.
