Surjeet is knight in Cong gameplan
One of the principal characters in the Opposition script to topple the government is, as always, CPM general secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet. In fact, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has met him at least four times over the last one month.
Pawar rules out return to State politics
Sharad Pawar has ruled out returning to Maharashtra, ending speculation that he may be sent back to the State to remove him from the national scene if the Congress emerges victorious in the State polls at the year end.
Central Govt doesn't depend on Cong for survival -- Thakre
BJP president Kushabhau Thakre today said partners of the ruling coalition at the Centre were united, adding the Congress would not succeed in toppling the Government as it did not depend on the Congress for survival.
