NEW DELHI, APRIL 4: The Gujarat Health Department has seized 19.2 lakh banned oxytocin injections sold to cattle owners to raise milk yield.State Health Minister Ashok Bhatt told reporters here today the seizure was effected during the past two days in a series of raids at Patan, Mehsana and Ahmedabad. Stringent action will be taken against those involved in the racket, he said.
``We were able to catch the wrong-doers because we conducted these raids the way income-tax raids are conducted,'' he said. He hopes to break into the network which is so strong that the drug is sold at every local ration shop.
