EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, April 6: The Haryana government has decided to construct a Rs 3-crore memorial and a samadhi in memory of late prime minister and founder chairman of Kurukshetra Development Board Gulzari Lal Nanda at Kurukshetra.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by Haryana Governor Mahabir Prasad today. Chief Minister Bansi Lal also attended the meeting. The Governor desired that the samadhi should be ready by July 4, the birth anniversary of Nandaji, which is being celebrated at the national level in Kurukshetra.

He also desired that the architectural works, designing and planning of the memorial should be ready by July 4 so that the foundation of the memorial could be laid the same day. He hoped that the entire project would be completed in a record time.
