At 25, Partho Sen Gupta found himself in the throes of an unusual, existential exigency. A mid-life crisis of sort. He had the world at his feet and, ironically, didn't know what to do with it. "Here I was, a middle-class man from Shivaji Park, who'd suddenly turned into a yuppie! Couldn't handle it," he laughs.

It's getting to me...
Doston mujhe maaf karna. Mere saath zara insaaf karna. I know this sounds like terrible shayari, especially coming from a person who cannot even maintain a daily diary. But this month in particular has been very hectic for me .

'String-of-nines' may conk computers today
In what is being described as a precursor to the Y2K problem, computer and electronic systems worldwide maintaining time by tallying a running total of days in a year may create problems for users on Friday, the 99th day of the current year. Experts have confirmed that programmes in such computers would read "99-99", the way April 9 of this year is represented, as "end-of-file" and shut down or perform erratically.
