SURAT, April 12: Renowned revolutionary poet and general secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Revolutionary Writers' Association Vara Vara Rao and leader of the Mazdoor Kisan Sangram Parishad a militant revolutionary organisation from Bihar Sachidanand Prabhat will be in Surat on Tuesday as part of an All-India campaign to highlight what they call the growing repression of people in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Dandakaranya.They will address a public meeting in the labour-dominated area of Limbayat at the Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk, Maruti Nagar at 7 pm. They will speak on the current political situation, and are expected to highlight the specific features of the expanding Naxalite-led people's movement and the attempts by the Central and various State governments to crush it without addressing the socio-economic problems of the masses.
Naujawan Bharat Sabha, which has organised the public meeting, said the role of private armies like the Ranbir Sena in Bihar, the tactics employed by the government, police and political parties in nurturing the Sena, and the efforts of Naxalite organisations in countering them would also be discussed.
