Kanitkar loses

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA  
PUNE, APRIL 12: The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) chairman DC Agashe and joint secretary Anant Mate were re-elected unopposed in the biennial MCA elections held last evening.

Former Test cricketer and joint secretary of the association Hemant Kanitkar and former Ranji skipper and sitting member Milind Gunjal of Telco were the only two members to lose their seats.

Sanjay Date (Income-Tax), former Ranji player Sunil Gudge (SBI) and Avinash Ghatpande (Youngsters Club) were elected as members in the polls.
