BANGALORE, April 13: Violin maestro, Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan, has been chosen for the T Chowdiah Memorial Award by the Karnataka Government. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh, a copper plaque and a bronze statue. Vaidhyanathan has been chosen in recognition of his contribution to Carnatic music, especially his innotative skills that has found wide acceptance among music lovers, according to Leeladevi Prasad, Kannada and Culture Minister.
