Delhi girl wins Miss India `silent' contest
Nobody clapped when the winner was announced after an almost two-hour-long contest. Instead, like birds surging to flight, everyone flapped hands over their head in a rare form of applause.

It was a weekend of celebrations with several parties marking the social calendar. But the best bash by far was Chirag Doshi's. The dashing young son of Premier Automobiles' Champa and Chakor Doshi turned 25 this weekend and put together quite a party to mark his first quarter.
