AI, IA divestment to take off soon
The disinvestment of Air India (AI), Indian Airlines (IA) and India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) will commence soon, the Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Ananth Kumar said.

Nicholas Piramal profit up 19%
Pharmaceutical firm Nicholas Piramal has registered a 19% increase in net profits for the year ended March 31, 1999 at Rs 45.4 crore as against Rs 37.9 crore in the previous year. Sales for the year were higher by 14 per cent at Rs 441.8 crore as against Rs 387.4 crore in the previous year.

Enron sews up funds for Dabhol's 2nd phase
Enron International, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Enron Corp of the US, on Thursday announced the financial closure of the Dabhol Power Company's (DPC) $1.87 billion phase - II for the construction of a 1,624 mw power plant.
