From tea to lunch
Their engagement was sealed at that famous tea party hosted by matchmaker extraordinaire, Subramanian Swamy. Now with Congress leader Sharad Pawar's luncheon date with J. Jayalalitha on Wednesday, it looks as if the pre-nuptial ceremonies to mark the impending AIADMK-Congress marriage are already under way.

Tamil Nadu transformed
The wheel has come full circle in Tamil Nadu. Less than a decade ago, in the immediate aftermath of the implementation of the Mandal Commission recommendations, then Prime Minister V. P. Singh stood at the Marina beach shoulder to shoulder with Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
