MUMBAI: US-based Software Services International has awarded a fresh contract to Akshay Software Technologies following the company's successful on-time completion of a large year 2000 remediation project for an insurance firm in the USA. Akshay has thus executed or executing projects over a quarter million dollars from this company. The result of this contract has also put Akshay in the running for a large reengineering project valued at more than half a million dollars.

Agro Dutch Foods merger benefits

MUMBAI: Agro Dutch Foods, a 100 per cent EOU for canned mushrooms and the largest exporter of mushrooms from India, is expected to benefit immensely from the recent merger of two Dutch companies, Scelta bv and Holco bv. The merger will help Agro Dutch increase production and also diversify from the industrial sizes to retail packaging, catering to a much larger world market.

Exim Bank opens branch in Pune

MUMBAI: Maharashtra has become the country'sfirst state to have two branches of the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) with the opening of a second branch at Pune on May 15. Vijay Kelkar, Union Finance Secretary, inaugurated the branch in the presence of Exim Bank managing director Y B Desai and a host of business leaders from Pune.
