EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
Mumbai, May 17: A first-ever online auction for match tickets to the cricket World Cup is being held on The Indian Express website www.expressindia.com. The auction, in association with Thomas Cook India Limited, will allow the readers to bid their own prices for the World Cup.

The auction, which started on May 14, has 260 tickets of India's league matches available till all tickets are exhausted. These packages include match tickets as well as stay for two nights at hotels close to the venue and will include complimentary conveyance to and from the match venue. Other packages includes the air fare from India and back.

Bid starts at Rs 9,000, one-fourth the official rates in the market.
