Gastroenteritis claims one
Gastroenteritis claimed one life in Vatdari village in Pavijetpur taluka on Sunday; this was reportedly the first casualty of a seasonal disease. A team of doctors led by medical officer Vaishali Parmar visited the village on Monday. The source of the disease had yet not been ascertained, taluka panchayat officer Kanubhai Rathwa said. Road closed
The northern portion of the Dandia Bazaar Main Road leading towards the Siddhi Vinayak Temple will remain closed for vehicular traffic till June 4 instead of May 20, as earlier announced -- as the Vadodara Municipal Corporation is laying a drainage line.
New garden
Mayor Bharati Vyas will inaugurate on Tuesday a 56,000 sq ft garden laid by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation in Akota Village. The garden has been laid on a land fill site at a cost of Rs 5,07,700.
Cheating
Thirteen cases of copying were detected during the Commerce faculty's Economics paper on Monday. Nine cases were detected in the main building.
