Two dead
Kalu Nanda Daroga(35), a porter, died on the road in the Varachha area on Monday afternoon after vomiting blood while pulling his cart, the police said. Daroga, a TB patient for long, was passing the road opposite Baroda Pristage at 1 pm when he vomited blood and collapsed on the road. He was shifted to the New Civil hospital, where he was declared dead. In another case, the Umra police recovered the dead body of an unidentified 40-year old man from the New Civil Hospital compound on Monday afternoon. The person has no injury and and his body has been sent for a post mortem. Cases under CrPC 174 have been registered.Burns deaths
Two women died of burn injuries in separate cases registered in the Limbayat and Katargam police stations on Monday. Rekha Raju Rajput (25), a married woman residing at Ganeshnagar II, Limbayat, sustained severe burns while making tea on Saturday evening. She was since being treated and died on Monday morning. In another case, Kasabai Raju Trimbak (25), died in the hospital after her clothes caught fire while cooking. She died after midnight in the New Civil hospital.
Missing
14-year-old Amla alias Pinky Murlidhar, a resident of Shivajinagar slum, Katargam, has been missing since April 13, a case registered at the Katargam police station today said. Chandrakala Parshottam, in whose house the girl stayed, informed the police that Amla told her that she was going to their jari workshop at Gotalawadi but did not reach there or return home. Head constable Madhu Amla is investigating further.
Arrested
Raju Tulsi Patil and Bhimrao Shamrao Patil, accused in the April 12 murder of one Vasant Bhagwan Patil, a resident of Saibaba Society, on have been arrested by the Limbayat police. The deceased was reportedly called out from his house by the two, who later stabbed him to death in Udhna yard. Personal rivalry is stated to be the cause of murder. Both the accused will be produced before a magistrate on Tuesday.
