Punjab sends panel for post of Finance Secy

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, MAY 17: The Punjab government has reportedly sent a panel of three names for the post of UT Finance Secretary. Among those figuring in the list are Rakesh Singh, A. S. Chhatwal and Jagpal Singh Sandhu.

While Rakesh Singh is an IAS officer of the 1978 batch and had earlier served the Chandigarh Administration as CITCO managing director, Chhatwal is an IAS officer of the 1986 batch. Sandhu is of the 1983 batch of Punjab cadre.The post of UT Finance Secretary had fallen vacant after the sudden repatriation of G. Vajralingam to his parent state of Punjab, a few weeks ago. At present, the post is being held by Home Secretary Anuradha Gupta, as an additional charge.
