Total plans joint venture with HPCL, BPCL
French energy giant Total has sketched out a mega-strategy for the Indian downstream sector, involving the creation of an integrated joint venture with a national oil firm, buying part of a state-owned company and joining hands with the stand-alone refineries.
Honda to launch Accord by year-end
Honda Motor Company of Japan will launch its high-end luxury Sedan Accord, priced at Rs 17.5 lakh, by the end of 1999, even as other models from its stables abroad are being studied as probable launches for India.
