PCA Colts XI beat Rajasthan XI

CHANDIGARH, MAY 19: The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Colts XI beat Rajasthan Colts XI by six wickets to lift the title in the second day and night cricket tournament which concluded recently at Rajasthan.

According to information received here, PCA XI got a walkover in their first match against DDCA XI and beat Madhya Pradesh XI by 73 runs to enter the final of the meet.

For PCA Rakesh Jolly (42), Harbhajan Singh (32) and Navdeep Singh (22 not out) were the main contributors in the semifinal.

JP Yadav and S Lahore got 44 and 26 runs, respectively, for Madhya Pradesh.

Brief scores: Rajasthan XI: Gagan 45, Anshu Jain 28, Harbhajan Singh 3 for 20, Lakhbir Singh 3 for 26, Bharat Bhushan 2 for 18); Punjab XI: Ranjeev Sharma 43, Pankaj Dharmani 22, Harminder Jugnu 22 n.o).
