Harinder excels
A fine spell of bowling by Harinder Chowdhry (4 for 38) and Surinder Singh (3 for 21) helped SAIL prevail over Pelican by 68 runs in the fifth Shanti Challenge Cup at Shanit Sports Club, Vasant Kunj. RR Parida (55) and Ajeet Singh (39) were the main contirbutors for the winners while Ashwani Kapoor's 73 and 48 by Ravi Uniyal went in vain for the losers. Rohan's 73 of no avail
Despite Rohan Nair's 73 LPS Academy lost to Vijay Mehra Academy by five wickets in a limited overs match at Tagore International School, East of Kailash. Chetan Mathur (52) and Amit (42) were the principal contributors for Vijay Mehra Academy. Kunal Malhotra and Chetan Mathur were the main wicket-takers for the winners.

Chand Khanna in semis
Unbeaten knocks by D Bundella (81) and Sohail Rauf (66) helped Chand Khanna crush South Delhi by 102 runs and reach the semis of the Raghubir Singh tournament at Modern School (BK Road) ground.

DGST basketball
ASC Centre (North) Paharpur (Gaya) won the eighth DGST basketball championship beating ASC Centre (South) 47-41 at ASC Stadium (Delhi Cantt).ASC Centre (South) gave the tough fight but could not outplay the opponents. Sri Bhagwan (15) and Anil Kumar (9) were the main scorers for the losers while Madesh (16) and Pushpender (13) scored for the winners.
Little Masters triumph
Little Masters Club beat Young Association by three wickets in the A-II division DDCA super league match at Kotla ground here today.
Brief scores: Young Association: 216 for 4 (Amit Sharma 59, Saurabh Dawar 54 not out, Prem Khanna 25) lost to Little Masters Club: 219 for 7 (Deepak Bhatnagar 101, Vikas Chandan 31, Prem Khanna 2 for 37, Rahul bansal 2 for 42).
Nehru Trust trials
Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust will organise selection trials to select Indian school boys (under-19) team to tour England under the Students International Exchange Interested candidates will have to bring their own kit for the trials, whcih will be held on June 4 and 5 between 5 and 7.30 p.m. at the IG Stadium.. The proposed tour will be from July 13 to 31.The trust has also initiated programmes between the youth of India and other countries to promote understanding of each other's cultures.
