Arunachal Cong pledges loyalty to Sonia Gandhi

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA

ITANAGAR, JUNE 2: Arunachal Pradesh Information and Public Relation Minister T C Telli on Wednesday said that the State unit of Congress would never join the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), floated by Sharad Pawar.

``We are very much with the Indian National Congress and Sonia Gandhi is our leader,'' Telli, who is also the spokesman of the Arunachal Congress said.

Reacting to a newspaper report that Arunachal Congress might switch over to the NCP, Teli made it clear that not not a single Congress member would join the new party.

State Congress vice president Dera Natung said the people of Arunachal loved the Nehru and Gandhi family and the Indian National Congress party. ``The Congress is in our blood and we could not not forget the love and affection of the Nehru family,'' he said.
