KOLHAPUR, JUNE 6: The construction work on a four-lane Pune-Kolhapur road which forms part of the Pune-Bangalore highway will be completed within this year, accourding to Minister of Public Works Department Nitin Gadkari here.
Addressing a press meet here, he said this project which is being implemented in two stages with the help of a private company will incur an expenditure of Rs 1,000 crore. The 100 km Pune-Satara road has already got under way, Gadkari said and added that the construction of the 140 km Satara-Kolhapur road which forms part of the second stage of the project with an estimated cost of Rs 560 crore will be commenced after land acquisition.
