SANGLI, June 10: Top seed Aishwarya Jadhav looks all set to defend her ranking as she set up a title clash with Anu Bhagwat in the girls under-12 event of the Bharati Krida Academy sponsored State ranking tennis tournament here today.Aishwarya defeated Pune's Sajiri Deshpande 9-3, while Anu overtook Kolhapur's Barkha Nath 9-7 in today's semi-finals.
In the under-16 section of women's events, Sangli's Nandita Paranjape won a hard fought battle against Ashlesha Lokhande, finally taking the match with a narrow margin of 9-8 (7-5). She will meet Pune's Priyanka Mehata in the finals, after the latter defeated Sheetal Gupta 8-4 in their semifinal clash.
In the boys under-10 semifinal, Pune's Tejas Choukulkar defeated Mumbai's Anuj Arora 8-7 (7-3).
