Pakistani intruders begin withdrawing from Kargil
An upbeat Government yesterday said it had received concrete indications that the Pakistan Army intruders are pulling back to their side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kargil sector.

Guns fall silent at LoC
The guns fell silent on both the sides of the Line of Control (LoC) yesterday. There was almost no shelling from Pakistan in the Mushkoh Valley area and so also in the Drass sub-sector.

Sector-by-sector ceasefire, says Pak
Pakistan's foreign minister Sartaj Aziz said yesterday that the Indian and Pakistani military officials had agreed on a sector-by-sector ceasefire to end the worst Indo-Pakistani military standoff in 30 years.
