Bachendri Pal to visit Kargil

NEW DELHI, JULY 11: The country's first woman conquerer of the Mount Everest, Bachendri Pal, will lead a team of men and women mountaineers who will ride to Kargil on motor cycles to express solidarity with soldiers fighting the Pakistani intruders. The team, which will start its journey on July 14 from New Delhi, comprises 12 women and six men, Pal told reporters here today. She said, ``After hearing the news of Kargil War, I became restless to do something for the brave soldiers.''The rally will pay tribute to mothers and wives of the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice, she said.
