Railway gates to be closed
Lalbaug and Vishwamitri railway gates will remain closed for all types of traffic between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday owing to repair of railway tracks on the Vadodara-Dabhoi route. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (traffic), Siddharth Khatri, all the traffic going towards Surat and Mumbai and vice-versa would therefore be diverted through Vishwamitri Road, Akshar Chowk, Kalali Phatak, Transpec Company, Vadsar Phatak and Sussein Textile during the above hours.

Results declared
The results of third year and second year BA have been declared. The TYBA marksheets will be available on Monday at the Central Hall between 4 pm and 5.30 pm while SYBA marksheets will be available between 4 pm and 5.30 pm on Tuesday. This was stated by faculty Vice-Dean P Choondavat.

Rains in district
As many as six talukas of the district recorded rains during the past 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday. The District Flood Control Room said that Jetpurpavi received 2 mm (total rainfall so far 72 mm), Chhotaudepur 5 mm (73 mm), Naswadi 11 mm (109 mm), Vadodara, 2 mm (104 mm), Waghodia 42 mm (128 mm) and Kwant 4 mm rainfall (80 mm).

Verification
The list of the candidates called for verification of original certificates for the diploma textile course has been displayed on the notice board of the Textile Engineering department of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering. Interviews for the same will be held on July 14 from 10 am.

Elected
The Baroda Road Transport Association has congratulated K K Shah for being elected the Association's city president. Stating this in a release, the members said that Shah had been successful even in his tenure as VUDA chairman.
