Tanker stolen An oil tanker (WB-23-2343) belonging to Sevani Cargo Carriers of Vadodara, valued at Rs 12.81 lakh alongwith the oil it contained, was lifted by some unknown persons by giving its driver the slip. According to Vernama police, where a case has been registered, driver Shekhardas Haridas Das was on his way from Godhra to Calcutta when he halted at Shraddha Petrol Pump near Kapurai Chowkadi because of sickness. A person approached him saying that he could take him to the SSG Hospital for treatment if he agreed. Das went along with him. When Das was getting his case paper prepared at the hospital window, the man slipped away. When Das did not find the man in the hospital, he felt something wrong and immediately rushed to the petrol pump only to find his vehicle missing.Police bus hit Rameshbhai Budhabhai Thakor, a police driver, has complained to the Navapura police that his police bus bearing registration number GJ 1 2657 was hit by a carelessly driven ST bus (GJ-18-V-881) near Lalbaug Railway Crossing around 9:40 a.m. on Sunday morning. The ST bus driver escaped with his vehicle after the accident. Clock stolen A wall clock worth Rs 2,000 and office documents were stolen from the back seat of a Maruti car (DL-9-C-1453) when it was parked opposite National Plaza on R.C. Dutt Road.
