Mehsana Project invites Romanian experts to its site

VADODARA, July 11: The ONGC Mehsana Project is in the process of implementing the in situ combustion process in Balol and Santhal fields on a commercial scale. ONGC recently entered into an agreement with M/S M D Petrom Oil and Gas Pvt Ltd., to engage experts from Petrom SA in Romania, to study all the aspects the insitu process of Balol and Santhal fields in all aspects. In this context, two Romanian experts, Tudor Popescu and Constantin Dragomir visited Mehsana and carried out the necessary study for more than a month and submitted their findings. The report is presently being examined by the project.

Meeting with farmers: A meeting was held between ONGC, Mehsana Project Management and representative of farmers from various villages of operational areas of Mehsana Project. In its efforts to maintain cordial relations with the inmates residing in the operations area of ONGC, C Lal, GGM (Asset), discussed various issues raised by the farmers and assured them to solve their grievance, if any, at the earliest possible time. The representative of farmers association appreciated this type of meeting. Lal, also expressed his commitment to hold such meetings at regular intervals.

Poets' meet: Recently on the occasion of 600th birth anniversary of the Saint Poet Kabir, a gathering of the poets was organised at Vadodara. This Kavi Sammelan was dedicated to the brave jawans fighting selflessly at the frontiers to preserve our integrity. J B Bhaya, GM (P&A) was the chief guest. The programme was organised by A K Dube, Senior Hindi Officer and coordinated by Anwar Jamal Vice-President of Hindi Parishad. Manik Mrigesh, member secretary of Nagar Raj Bhasta Karyan Viyan Samiti was present among other renown poet.

Director of commercial audit: R C Tomar, a Member of Indian Audit & Accounts Service has been elevated as Director of Commercial Audit at ONGC Complex, Vadodara. Tomar has been with the audit of Central/State PSUs and Oil sector in particular for a considerable amount of time. In the year 1998 he was also nominated for auditing for the UN Peacekeeping Forces in Angola. Besides ONGC (WRBC & Hazira project) and IPCL, various units of IOC, BPCL, HPCL and NTC etc. in Gujarat constitute his overall audit charge at present.
