MUMBAI, July 11: Spearhead Stanley Fernandes of Bombay Republicans A scored the winning goal as his team beat Khalsa Gymkhana A 2-1 in the BHA senior division hockey league, sponsored by Punjab National Bank, at the Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate, today.
Stanley stole the limelight with his superb dribbling and accurate passing. Besides scoring the winner, he set up Vijay Alphonso for Republicans' opening goal.
Khalsa, who were level 1-1 till the last two minutes, netted their lone goal through Vaibhav Lokhande.

Saki score: Saki Village Boys defeated Holy Family 2-0 in a Mumbai Football Association's Harwood League soccer match at the St Xavier's Ground, Parel today. Abhishek Uchil struck off a pass from Nelson D'Souza in the 15th minute to put Saki ahead and Stevnal D'Souza scored the second off Mecanor Misquitta's pass in the67th minute.
The MDFA disciplinary committee suspended Saki's Wilson D'Souza for abusing referee X Faria.
