Captain by month-end
BANGALORE: The Indian cricket team captain for the next month's Triangular series in Sri Lanka will be named between July 27-30, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary J Y Lele announced.
India, Sri Lanka and Australia would be playing the Triangular series between August 22-29. India would also go ahead with the Australian tour. Lele said the decision of holding the series involving India, Australia and Pakistan was left to the Australian Cricket Board.

BANGALORE: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be writing a letter on Monday seeking explanation from three international cricketers -- Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Robin Singh -- for airing their views to the media on the country's performance in the World Cup in violation of the contractual obligations.
Rich haul
NEW DELHI: India recorded their best ever performance by bagging 11 medals, including five silver, to finish third in the Asian Juniorfreestyle and Greco-Roman championship which ended in Tehran on Saturday.
India finished behind overall champions Iran and Japan, who stood second.

GRECO ROMAN: Satish Singh (63 kg), Vijayendra Singh (69 kg) and Anil Kumar (130 kg) all silver; Mukesh Kumar (54kg), Mukesh (85 kg) both bronze.
FREESTYLE: Anil Mann (97 kg), Balwinder Singh Cheema (130 kg) both silver; Sushil Kumar (50 kg), Jagbir Singh (58 kg), Ajit Singh (63 kg) and Chand Ram (69 kg) all bronze.
