Vinay sparkles
Vinay Singh's all-round performance (70 and 2 for 12) helped Little Masters beat Royal Club by eight wickets in the semifinal of the second Dev Dutt memorial hot weather tournament at Faridabad Sector 12.

Vinay Singh was declared the man of the match for his quickfire 70 (52 balls).

Brief scores: Royal: 144 (Krishan 35, Shiv 21, Tarun Tyagi 3 for 23, Vinay Singh 2 for 12, Deepak Tyagi 2 for 28).

Little Masters: 145 for 2 (Vinay Singh 70, Gaurav Virmani 32, Prabhakar 20, Hitesh Nagar 2 wickets for 28 runs).

Khurana excels
Vikas Kapoor's all-round display (50 and 2 for 25) and Vivek Khurana's excellent bowling (4 fo 43) helped Rohtak Road Gymkhana defeat Ramjas Coaching Centre by three runs in the semifinal of Gold Star Super Six tounament (under-16) at Ramjas sports complex.

In another semifinal, Madras Coaching Centre beat Hansraj Academy by 28 runs.Madras Coaching Centre will take on R R Gymkhana in the final. Gymkhana scored 158 for six and then restricted Ramjas to 155 while Madras Club made 134 and then dismissed Hansraj for a paltry 106 runs. Both semifinals proved one-sided.

Brief scores: R R Gymkhana: 158 for 6 (Vikas Kapoor 50, Sushil Kumar 41, Deepak Sharma 22, Varun Singh 3 for 36). Ramjas: 155 (Anshul Lamba 35, Rohit Gupta 36, Vivek Khurana 4 for 43, Vikas Kapoor 2 for 25).

Madras Club: 134 (Kuldeep Rawat 35, kailash Rawat 34, Gautam Trehan 2 for 17, Geet Vats 2 for 25).

Hansraj: 106 (Gautam Trehan 40, Varun Sharma 30, Puneet Sharma 3 for 26, Gagandeep Singh 3 for 11).
