Sharif to India -- Let's talk, not waste time
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday renewed an offer of peace talks with India to ease tensions created by the two-month military showdown in Kargil.

India sets July 16 deadline for pullout
India has set the morning of July 16 as the deadline for all Pakistan Army intruders to withdraw from the Kargil Sector to well north of the Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LoC).

Shelling punctuates withdrawl
Even as there were reports of Pak forces withdrawing from some areas, including Muskhok Valley and Kaksar, there was heavy shelling of the Drass town yesterday evening.
