Citations for some angers Artillery units
The Army's decision to bestow unit citations on all infantry units for their commendable role in Operation Vijay has irked the artillery regiments deployed in the Kargil Drass sector.

Sharif okayed Kargil incursion in January -- Ex-Army chief Beg
Former Pakistani Army chief General (retd) Mirza Aslam Beg claimed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had approved the kargil operation in January after briefings by the Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Talks on Kargil may be put off until polls
There are indications that the Government is inclined to resume negotiations with Pakistan only after the elections though Islamabad would like an immediate revival of the Lahore process and Washington has also expressed a similar hope.
