PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
NEW DELHI, July 14: External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh today ruled out the prospects of early resumption of the composite dialogue process with Pakistan, saying ``we still have to cover a lot of distance'' before it could be considered.
Emphasising that Pakistan had to first abide by its commitment to complete withdrawal of its troops by the July 16 deadline, reaffirm the sanctity of the Line of Control (LoC) and stop sponsoring cross-border terrorism, he said till these `essential steps' were taken by Islamabad, it was difficult for the Lahore process to move any forward.
