Army faces resistance in Mushkoh
The infantry on Sunday made significant progress, having touched the Line of Control (LoC) in Drass, Kaksar and parts of Mushkoh Valley. However, it is facing stiff resistance in a few pockets in Mushkoh where the intruders haven't withdrawn.

Apprehending a resurgence of terrorist strikes in Jammu & Kashmir and elsewhere, the Union Home Ministry has initiated a string of measures to check the threat. Both Home Minister L K Advani and Defence Minister George Fernandes realise that the interior areas of Kashmir could be in for more trouble now that India has successfully repulsed Pakistan at the Line of Control (LOC).

Islamic cult issues fatwa against bin Laden
Suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden, blamed by Washington for last year's bloody attacks on US embassies in Africa, is being hunted by a fanatical Islamic cult, the Sunday Times reported. Arab relief workers first saw the fatwa against bin Laden outside Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan's North West Frontier province, according to the paper.
