Jr athletic meet
The Delhi State Amateur Athletic Association will organise its Jr athletic championship in the age groups of u-20, u-18, u-16, u-14 (boys and girls) from July 28 to 30 at 3 PM at Nehru Stadium.
During this meet, a team will be selected to represent Delhi in the North Zone and Junior National Championship to be held on 20th and 21st August at Allahabad. Entries close on July 26 at AAFI office, Gate No. 28, Room No. 1148, Nehru Stadium alongwith date of birth certificate (photostat copy) verified by the school authority.
Cricketer dead
Ashwani Kumar Chaturvedi, 63, who represented Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Ranji teams and played for Central Zone three decades ago, died in Agra early this week. He had also played against the touring Pakistan team in 1960-61.
